Contentsquare to acquire product analytics platform Heap

Digital experience platform-provider Contentsquare has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire product analytics platform Heap, in what marks Contentsquare’s largest acquisition to date.

The acquisition is set to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2023, subject to customary closing conditions. Financial terms of the deal was not disclosed. Following the acquisition, investors such as Menlo Ventures, NewView Capital, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and DTCP will become Contentsquare shareholders.

Contentsquare, established in France in 2012, specializes in digital experience analytics. In 2021, Contentsquare acquired Hotjar. The company currently provides services to more than 1.3 million websites worldwide, including over 1,300 enterprise brands.

Founded in 2013 in the Silicon Valley, Heap’s analytics platform is utilized by more than 1,200 companies to improve customer engagement, adoption, and retention, according to the companies.
