Cognizant selected as technology provider for Fortrea’s transformation initiative

Cognizant and Fortrea, a provider of clinical development and patient access solutions in the life sciences industry, has announced a new partnership. Under this agreement, Cognizant will be the strategic technology transformation provider for Fortrea, focusing on enhancing its digital infrastructure and services.

This four-year collaboration is set to transform Fortrea’s global technology environment. Cognizant’s role will involve deploying advanced hybrid cloud technologies and platforms, and is expected to boost Fortrea’s data and analytical capabilities as well.

The partnership comes after Fortrea’s spin-off from its parent company in June 2023, a strategic move to increase its agility and growth in areas like clinical trials and patient access, particularly in oncology and clinical pharmacology. Cognizant will assist in transitioning Fortrea away from its former parent company’s Transition Service Agreements, setting up a new global infrastructure for Fortrea, including application management and end-user services.
