Circular Wave Drive raises $2M

Circular Wave Drive, a technology company that manufactures compact speed-reducing gears for robotics and applications, has raised $2 million. The investment was led and organized by Ikove Venture Partners.

Circular Wave Drive is working on a product line of low-cost, compact, highly-efficient, ruggedized, speed-reducing gearing systems, according to the company. The technology is the brainchild of Dr. Yuanfang Zheng, a Winbiger Endowed Chair professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Ohio State University.
