Bruce Grant joins Violin Memory board of directors

Bruce Grant has been elected to the Violin Memory board of directors. Mr. Grant currently owns approximately 15 million shares of the common stock of Violin Memory, representing about 14.5 per cent of the issued outstanding shares of Violin.

“I’m confident that with my support for the management team’s efforts and the integration of other investor perspectives, Violin will re-accelerate toward positive growth in an exceedingly attractive segment of the storage industry,” said Mr. Grant.

Mr. Grant is chairman of management consulting firm Applied Value. He is also chairman of Garden Growth Capital and Garden Growth Industries, as well as chairman of Applied Venture Capital.
