BMW to integrate Amazon Alexa into vehicles

Amazon and BMW are working together to bring Alexa, Amazon’s voice assistant, to BMW and Mini vehicles. The integration will be available starting mid-2018, say the companies. Drivers will not need to download a separate app.

This in-car experience builds on the BMW Connected skill for Alexa that was introduced in 2016, says BMW. Alexa will be available in all 2018 model year BMW and Mini vehicles from mid-2018 in the US, UK, and Germany.
