Bill Gates Shares His Top Seven Books For 2013

bill_gates_books_2013Bill Gates shared his top seven picks of good reads this year in a blog post on Thursday.

The list includes The Box, by Marc Levinson, The Most Powerful Idea in the World, by William Rosen, Harvesting the Biosphere, by Vaclav Smil, The World Until Yesterday, by Jared Diamond, Poor Numbers, by Morten Jerven, Why Does College Cost So Much? by Robert B. Archibald and David H. Feldman, and The Bet, by Paul Sabin.

The list does not include any fiction, and Mr. Gates says while he enjoys reading novels (he has read The Catcher in the Rye a bunch of times), he reads mostly non-fiction, as he always wants to learn more about how the world works. And reading is how he learns best.
