Kutcher’s Jobs Biopic To Premiere At Sundance

The biopic based on the life of Steve Jobs and featuring Ashton Kutcher in the role of the iconic Apple entrepreneur will debut in the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, according to a statement by the Sundance Institute.

The movie titled jOBS has been directed by Joshua Michael Stern, and includes screenwriter: Matt Whiteley. JOBS chronicles the defining 30 years of Steve Jobs’ life. Other character portrayals include Josh Gad as Steve Wozniak, Dermot Mulroney as Mike Markkula, one of the earlier investors of Apple, and Matthew Modine as John Sculley, the former Pepsi CEO who had ousted Jobs from the company when he joined Apple.

Yet another movie on Steve Jobs is on the works. Sony Pictures acquired the rights to Walter Isaacson’s biography on Steve Jobs, and a  film titled Steve Jobs will be produced by Mark Gordon, Scott Rudin and Guymon Casady with the screenplay being adapted by Aaron Sorkin.

Founded by Robert Redford in 1981, Sundance Institute is a global, nonprofit cultural organization dedicated to nurturing artistic expression in film and theater, and to supporting intercultural dialogue between artists and audiences.
