Santa Barbara, CA-based Anchore has been awarded a $2.25 million AFWERX Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II contract. The contract is focused on securing and hardening software containers through automated, policy-based DevSecOps workflows, says Anchore.

Anchore provides a technology platform mandated as part of the United States Department of Defense (DoD) DevSecOps Reference Design, said the company in a statement. Over the past year, the Anchore team has provided design and operational support for Platform One, the USAF DevSecOps platform, says Anchore.

Under the Phase II contract, Anchore will be using deep image inspection and policy-based compliance enforcement technology. Anchore engineers will be embedded into the Platform One team as they continue deploying secure software capabilities across the USAF, according to the company.
