Amazon Opens Portal For International Mobile App Distribution

Developers can now submit apps and in-app items for sale on Amazon. Right now Amazon is accepting submissions from United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and Spain, with plans to expand in the future.

The Amazon Appstore in the U.S. has grown to tens of thousands of apps and games in just one year, says the company. Amazon recently introduced an in-app purchasing service.
