Amazon buys cybersecurity startup Sqrrl

Amazon has acquired cybersecurity startup Sqrrl. The Sqrrl team will be joining the Amazon Web Services (AWS) family, Mark Terenzoni, Sqrrl CEO, said in a statement. Financial details of the transaction were not released.

Massachusetts-based Sqrrl was founded in 2012. Cofounder Ely Khan was a former National Security Agency (NSA) staffer.
