Alienware and Valve, creators of the Half-Life franchise, have collaborated to design the first dedicated Alienware Steam Machine gaming console.

The Alienware Steam Machine includes a custom-built chassis to provide optimal thermal and acoustic management, and comes in a sleek design. Every Steam Machine includes a Steam Controller designed for use with a wide variety of game genres, and is powered by the SteamOS, a custom OS built atop Linux.

The Alienware Steam Machine is scheduled to launch in late 2014. In addition to the Alienware Steam Machine PC gaming console, the Alienware X51 desktop will also be available as a Steam Machine.
