Agilent Appoints Ron Nersesian President And COO

Agilent Technologies has appointed Ron Nersesian  president and chief operating officer, effective immediately. Mr. Nersesian has been executive vice president and chief operating officer since November 2011.

In his new role, Mr. Nersesian, 53, will continue to be responsible for Agilent’s Chemical Analysis (CAG), Life Sciences (LSG), Electronic Measurement (EMG), and Agilent Order Fulfillment (AOF) businesses, with the presidents of those groups reporting to him. Mr. Nersesian will continue to report to William (Bill) Sullivan, who remains chief executive officer.

Mr. Nersesian first joined Hewlett-Packard, Agilent’s predecessor company, in 1984. Since then he has served in various management positions, including president of the electronic measurement business from 2009 to 2011. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from New York University, Stern School of Business.
