Accenture is acquiring OPS Rules, an analytics consulting company specializing in the application of data science in supply chain and operations analytics. Founded in 2012, OPS Rules has offices in Waltham, Massachusetts and Richardson, Texas. OPS Rules chairman David Simchi-Levi, a professor of Engineering Systems at MIT, will join Accenture Analytics, part of Accenture Digital. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
