Docker Secures $40M Series C Funding

Docke has raised $40 million in a series C funding round led by Sequoia Capital. Existing investors Benchmark, Greylock Partners, Insight Ventures, Trinity Ventures, and Jerry Yang also participated. Bill Coughran, who joined Sequoia after eight years as a senior vice president of engineering at Google, will represent Sequoia on the Docker board. Launched in March 2013, Docker is an open platform for building, shipping and running distributed applications.

Trifacta Raises $25M

Data analysis platform Trifacta has closed a $25 million Series C financing round. The investment was led by new investor Ignition Partners and includes existing investors Greylock Partners and Accel Partners. As part of the investment, Frank Artale, Ignition Partners managing director also joins the Trifacta board. The company raised a $12 million Series B round in July last year.

OpenDNS Raises $35M

Cloud security company OpenDNS has raised a $35 million investment round. Existing investors Greylock Partners, Sequoia Capital and Sutter Hill Ventures participated in the financing, along with Glynn Capital, Cisco, Evolution Equity, Lumia Capital, Mohr Davidow Ventures, and Northgate Capital.
