3Doodler Raises $2.3M From Crowd Funding

The team behind 3Doodler, the world’s first 3D printing pen, have received backing of $2,344,134 during their 34 day crowd-funding campaign.

3Doodler passed its initial target of $30,000 backing within hours of launch, and raised over $500,000 within the first day. Women make up almost half of 3Doodler backers, says the company.

Priced at $99, 3Doodler is currently on schedule to start shipping 3Doodler pens to backers in September 2013.
