TripAdvisor Acquires CruiseWise

Cruise_CriticTravel site TripAdvisor has acquired key technology and talent from CruiseWise, an online cruise booking agency. Terms of the acquisition are not being disclosed.

The team and non-transactional functionality will be integrated into the online cruise guide, Cruise Critic. Cruise Critic is published by The Independent Traveler, which was acquired as a subsidiary of TripAdvisor in 2007.

CruiseWise is no longer selling cruises, and the company is asking users who may have previously booked a cruise with them to get in touch.
