Oracle Buys Social Recruiting Company SelectMinds

Oracle has entered into an agreement to acquire SelectMinds, a provider of cloud-based social talent sourcing and corporate alumni management applications. The company did not reveal a price for the deal.

Thomas Kurian (Executive vice president, Oracle): Recruiting candidates through employee referrals is widely acknowledged as the most effective method to find talent through trusted contacts.
The combination of Oracle and SelectMinds’ complementary social sourcing capabilities is expected to create a comprehensive recruiting, candidate sourcing, and talent management offering for social recruiting, said Oracle in a statement.
