DataStax Raises $106M

DataStax, a company that provides Apache Cassandra, an open source NoSQL database technology to companies, has raised $106 million in Series E financing. The investment was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers,  and includes participation from ClearBridge Investments, Cross Creek Advisors and Wasatch Funds along with Comcast Ventures and PremjiInvest. Existing investors Lightspeed and Scale Venture Partners also participated in the round, along with Crosslink Capital, Meritech Capital Partners, DFJ Growth and Next World Capital.  The latest round brings total investment in the company to $190 million.
