Western Identification Network inks 10-year agreement with NEC

NEC’s Integra-ID5 multimodal biometric identification solution was renewed for acceptance from the Western Identification Network (WIN). The organization plans to keep utilizing NEC’s Integra-ID5 MBIS until 2032, as stated by the electronics vendor.

The Western Identification Network (WIN) is a consortium of western U.S. states and local law enforcement agencies. It consists of a shared MBIS processing service bureau that provides the ability to search the criminal and civil biometrics records of its eight-member states, including interfaces to other neighboring states, and law enforcement agencies.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
