Western Digital Buys Skyera In All-Cash Deal

HGST, a wholly owned and independently operated subsidiary of Western Digital,  has completed an all-cash acquisition of Skyera, a developer of solid-state storage systems for scale-out cloud and enterprise data centers. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Skyera will be fully integrated into HGST.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has established an Artificial Intelligence Safety and Security Board (the board). The inaugural members include CEOs and executives from companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, Delta Air Lines, IBM, Nvidia, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon Web Services, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), and Cisco.
