Sony is working on a virtual reality (VR) system, dubbed Project Morpheus, that lets players immerse themselves in a simulated 3D world. Sony is also opening up the Morpheus SDK, currently under development, letting third-party developers create Morpheus content for PS4.

Morpheus features a visor style head-mounted display and works with the PlayStation camera. Inertial sensors built into the head mount unit and the camera track head orientation and movement, immersing players in a simulated 3D world, using audio technology developed by Sony.
