Samsung Launches Cloud-Based Gaming

Samsung has launched a cloud-based gaming service called “Samsung Cloud Gaming.” Samsung Cloud Gaming, developed in partnership with Gaikai, a cloud-based video game platform provider, will stream a mix of family-friendly and AAA video games directly to owners of 2012 Samsung LED 7000 series and up Smart TVs in the U.S.

Samsung Cloud Gaming gives Smart TV users instant access video games, without any need to download, install or patch/update games. Consumers can start playing games in under a minute.

Samsung will begin accepting sign-ups for the Beta Test of its Cloud Gaming service on Smart TVs in the United States.
