PayPal Access gives consumers the ability to sign up and sign in to participating websites with just their PayPal usernames and passwords. Partners joining the PayPal Access program include social integration provider Gigya, and social identity and user management provider Janrain.

The announcement was made at the X.commerce Innovate Developer Conference. PayPal has more than 100 million accounts in 190 markets worldwide, and is an eBay company.
