Netflix Hires Warner Bros Veteran To Head Marketing

Netflix has hired Kelly Bennett, a Warner Bros vice president, as the company’s chief marketing officer. Mr. Bennett will report to Netflix CEO Reed Hastings.

Mr. Bennett is a nine-year veteran of Warner Bros, most recently Vice President Interactive, World Wide Marketing with the pictures group where he led the international online campaigns for Warner Bros movies, including the most recent Harry Potter and Sherlock Holmes films and the just-released The Dark Knight Rises.

Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Bennett ran digital marketing for Warner Bros Pictures in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and worked in promotion and business development for the company. Additionally, he has held executive positions at Dow Jones International, Ignition Media, and served as partner at the online marketing agency Cimex Media, all based in London, UK.

Mr. Bennett is a graduate of Simon Fraser University.
