Microsoft Launches Visual Studio Online

The Microsoft Visual Studio IDE (integrated development environment) is now available online. The company also launched Visual Studio 2013 and .NET 4.5.1 on Wednesday.

Visual Studio Online lets users create unlimited team projects and offers private code repositories. It also integrates with other IDEs like Eclipse and Xcode, and can run Cl builds on Microsoft cloud infrastructure.

Visual Studio Online comes in three flavors – Basic, Professional, and Advanced. Visual Studio Online Basic is free for teams up to 5 users, and costs $20 per additional user, per month. Microsoft is offering an introductory price of $10 per additional user, per month. The pricing for Professional and Advanced are $45 (introductory pricing $22.50) and $60 (introductory pricing $30) per additional user per month respectively.

Visual Studio Online includes Visual Studio Express for Web, Windows, or Windows Desktop.
