Marissa Mayer appointed to AT&T board

AT&T has announced the appointment of Marissa Mayer to its board of directors, starting immediately. Ms. Mayer will participate in the Audit committee and the Corporate Development and Finance committee, bringing the total number of directors at AT&T to 11.

Ms. Mayer currently serves as the CEO of Sunshine Products, a technology startup she co-founded in 2018. Her career also includes a tenure as CEO and President of Yahoo!, and 13 years at Google, where she was the first woman engineer.

Ms. Mayer also holds positions on the board of Walmart Inc. since 2012 and the San Francisco Ballet board.

Ms. Mayer earned a bachelor’s degree in symbolic systems and a master’s degree in computer science, focusing on artificial intelligence, from Stanford University.
