Lead Edge Capital secures $520 million

Growth stage technology investment firm Lead Edge Capital has raised its Fund IV round of $520 million. This brings its total capital under management to more than $1.5 billion, the firm said in a statement.

In another development, Lead Edge Capital has appointed Ron Gill, most recently the CFO of NetSuite, as an operating partner. Mr. Gill is joining as the firm’s fourth operating partner – other partners include: Lorrie Norrington, the former president of eBay; Jim Schneider, the former CFO of Dell; and Paul Bell, the former president of Dell.

Lead Edge Capital’s investments include Alibaba Group, Appirio, Arrive Logistics, Bazaarvoice, Delivery Hero, Duo Security, Mindbody, Marketo, Spotify, Toast and Uber.

Lead Edge Capital was founded in 2009 and is headquartered in New York City.
