Kaltura and Akamai ink predictive content delivery deal

Video technology provider Kaltura and Akamai have entered into an agreement to extend their partnership to combine Akamai’s predictive content delivery with Kaltura’s TV Platform.

The joint solution facilitates predictive on-device caching of content, according to a statement from the companies. The content is downloaded based on each user’s profile and history, and offered to the customer for offline viewing on any device.

The capabilities are expected to continue to evolve over time as new analysis and intelligence models are introduced by the companies, according to the statement.
