HP Has A New CIO

Craig Flower has been promoted to senior vice president and chief information officer with HP. Flower will be responsible for data management, application architecture, global business intelligence, sales, and product development and engineering applications.

Flower is a HP veteran, and has held a wide range of IT management positions within the company since 1984 spanning e-business, customer and sales operations, the Personal Systems Group and marketing. He will report to John Hinshaw, HP’s newly appointed executive vice president, Global Technology and Business Processes.

Meg Whitman (President, CEO, HP): Craig is a leader who has proven that he can simultaneously deliver more value to the business while achieving significant cost reductions. His wide experience at HP will be key in driving new levels of business functionality.

The company is going through some management restructuring under its new CEO, Meg Whitman.
