Garmin Launches Vivofit Wearable Fitness Band

GPS-devices company Garmin joins the ranks of Nike, Fitbit, and Jawbone with the launch of the vívofit (veevo-fit) fitness band.

Vívofit’s user replaceable batteries last over one year, and the band is water-resistant (50m), and compatible with ANT+ heart rate monitors. The Vívofit band features a curved display that always stays on, and shows steps, goal countdown, calories, distance, and time of day.

Vívofit will be available in black, purple, teal, blue, and slate. The devices will cost $129.99, with the heart rate monitor bundle costing $169.99. Vívofit will begin shipping Q1 2014.
