Funding Platform Indiegogo Raises $15M

Funding platform Indiegogo has raised a $9 million Series A round of financing from Insight Venture Partners and Khosla Ventures. The funding will help the startup to step up on its offerings, and hire more people, says Slava Rubin, the founder and CEO of Indiegogo.

Indiegogo launched in 2008 has distributed several million dollars to campaigners in some 200 countries, funding a reported 100,000 projects.
