Ford launches Sync 3 emulator software

Ford has launched a SYNC 3 AppLink emulator software for developers. The software lets developers test how their app will look and work on a SYNC 3 interface – without access to an actual vehicle. It also allows developers to set certain conditions – such as vehicle speed, location, temperature and mileage – to test how the app responds to each.

You can find more information on AppLink APIs at the Ford Developer Program website.

There are currently more than 15 million Sync-equipped vehicles on roads around the world, with 43 million more expected by 2020, according to the company.
