Forbes Launches Stream ‘Mini Social Network’

forbes_network

Forbes has launched a new Stream feature, within its iOS app. Stream allows readers to save and share visual content with other readers, and discover content from Forbes within the app.

Stream was developed by MAZ, a NY-based technology startup, and enables readers to participate in a Forbes-only ‘mini social network’ comprised of Forbes readers contributing Forbes-only content, according to the publishing giant.

Lewis D’Vorkin (Chief product officer, Forbes Media): Consumers today are increasingly more interested in visual content as we see from the dramatic growth in visual social sharing platforms.

Stream also allows readers to share to other social media platforms, as well as via email and iMessages. Recipients see the visual “clip” from Forbes, which serves as a link back to the source of that content.
