Facebook Launches Hyperlapse For Instagram

FB-Instagram-Hyperlapse

Instagram, the photo-sharing network owned by Facebook, has launched Hyperlapse, an app from Instagram that can capture high-quality time lapse videos even while in motion. The app features built-in stabilization technology that lets users create moving, handheld time lapses that the photo-sharing site says result in the cinematic look, quality and feel possible before only with expensive photographic equipment.

With Hyperlapse, Time lapse videos are sped up to show longer footage in a shorter period of time. For example, people taking videos can record the sun rising and use time lapse to show all of the footage in seconds. Users can shoot a video for up to ten minutes with the iPhone 4, or up to 45 minutes with the iPhone 5. Unlike Instagram, Hyperlapse can not however add filters or edit videos.

Hyperlapse from Instagram is available for iOS devices in Apple’s App Store.
