david_pogue

David Pogue, personal technology columnist for the New York Times, and an industry veteran of over two decades, is joining Yahoo, where he will be starting a new consumer-tech site. Mr. Pogue was with the NYT for 13 years.

Yahoo is in a unique position to bring to life great editorial about the technology consumers are using every day,” said Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer in a Tumblr post, talking about the new hire.

David Pogue: I’ll be writing columns and blog posts each week, of course, and making my goofy videos. But my team and I have much bigger plans, too, for all kinds of online and real-world creations.

Mr. Pogue is also involved with CBS and PBS, and is expected to continue both those commitments. He is also a columnist with Scientific American.
