AWS adds Nvidia’s Blackwell GPU platform to enhance AI capabilities

Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Nvidia have announced a new phase in their partnership, focusing on integrating Nvidia’s Blackwell GPU platform into AWS’s cloud offerings. This move is aimed at providing more powerful tools for artificial intelligence (AI) development, specifically in the realm of generative AI and large language models, according to the companies.

AWS plans to utilize the Blackwell platform, which includes the GB200 Grace Blackwell Superchip and V100 Tensor Core GPUs, to improve the processing of large-scale AI models. AWS will introduce EC2 instances equipped with B100 GPUs for AI training and inference, aiming to support the creation of more advanced AI models.

The GB200 GPUs will be available through Nvidia DGX Cloud hosted on AWS, providing a dedicated platform for developing and deploying generative AI models.
