Atari, Chuck E. Cheese founder launches Modal VR for enterprises

Nolan Bushnell, founder of Atari and Chuck E. Cheese, have launched a virtual reality platform for businesses, called Modal VR, along with Jason Crawford, founder of Tiny Castle Studios. Modal VR offers end-to-end hardware and software solution based on immersion technology.

The Modal VR virtual reality ecosystem combines portable hardware that provides a wireless VR experience featuring full-body tracking for multiple users at once in small or large areas up to 900,000 square feet, said Modal Systems, the company behind the technology, in a statement. Some of the areas where the company anticipates this technology can be used, include themed entertainment, marketing, arcades (large-scale VR experiences including next-gen laser tag), real estate, training, and sports, among others.

“Modal VR is helping enterprises solve problems and collaborate differently,” said Nolan Bushnell, co-founder and chairman, Modal VR.
