Apple_Store

Apple Human Interface vice president Greg Christie is reportedly leaving the company. Mr. Christie has been responsible for leading software design for the Cupertino giant, reporting to Craig Federighi, senior vice president, software engineering.

All software designers will now be reporting to Jony Ive, the legendary industrial designer and senior vice president heading Apple’s industrial design team. Human Interface Design was added to Mr. Ive’s job role, when he was asked to redesign the look of iOS 7.

According to a report  by Mark Gurman of 9To5Mac, Mr. Christie’s decision to leave the company follows a clash with Mr. Ive over the design direction of Apple.
