Alan Herrick, Jerry Greenberg Named Sapient Co-Chairmen

Sapient has elected the company’s president and chief executive officer Alan Herrick, and its co-founder, Jerry Greenberg, as co-chairmen of the company’s board of directors.  Jim Benson has assumed the new role of lead independent director. He will also serve as chairman of the Governance and Nominating Committee.

Mr. Herrick, Mr. Greenberg and Mr. Benson are filling roles vacated by Darius Gaskins, who is retiring after 16 years on the board, five of those years as chairman. Mr. Gaskins also served as the chairman of the Governance and Nominating Committee.

Mr. Greenberg, along with Stuart Moore, co-founded Sapient in 1990 and served as its co-chief executive and co-chair until 2006. Mr. Benson has been a member of Sapient’s board of directors since August 2007.
