Aktana raises $17.5 million

Aktana, a company offering CRM solutions pharmaceutical sales, has raised $17.5 million in funding led by Safeguard Scientifics, with participation from existing investor Starfish Ventures.

Aktana says it will use proceeds from the financing for continued product development and expansion. The company plans to open offices in China and Europe, adding to its current offices in San Francisco, New York City, and Tokyo.
