FilmTrack Raises $20 Million

Cloud-based rights management company FilmTrack has closed a $20 million equity investment from Insight Venture Partners.

Peter Sobiloff and Nikitas Koutoupes, managing directors at Insight Venture Partners, will be joining FilmTrack’s board. Michael Lang, CEO of Lang Media Group, and the former CEO of Miramax Films, and a strategic advisor to the company since 2012, is also joining the FimTrack board.

FilmTrack offers cloud-based enterprise-class solutions for content, contract, and rights management. FilmTrack clients include Relativity Media, The Weinstein Company, Focus Features, Miramax, Lionsgate, Screen Australia, and Starz, among others, says the company.
