A Palo Alto-based startup, I-Postmortem Limited, has launched two online services called I-Tomb , and I-Memorial, that allows users to create a repository for their memories that will continue to live on even after their demise.
The I-Tomb is a multimedia memorial and can be visited by friends, family, or even the public at large. Visitors can also leave virtual tributes if they are so inclined. The online tombs are maintained and moderated by descendants of the deceased. I-Memorial enables people to build their own memorial (while they are still alive, incase you had any doubts on that one).
I-Memorial and I-Tomb are initially available in 16 languages. Pricing options include an annual $50 fee for each individual I-Tomb Account and an annual $120 fee for each individual I-Memorial Account.
