Victoria’s Secret partners with Google Cloud for generative AI

Victoria’s Secret has entered into a strategic, multi-year partnership with Google Cloud, for advanced AI and generative AI technologies.

As Victoria’s Secret’s website garners over 500 million annual visits, the company is focusing on leveraging new technologies to scale up personalized customer interactions. A key feature of this partnership is the development of an AI-powered conversational assistant using Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform, says Victoria’s Secret.

The move comes after Victoria’s Secret’s acquisition of Adore Me, a direct-to-consumer lingerie company, in December 2022. Adore Me has already been utilizing Google Cloud’s Vertex AI and Duet AI for generative AI efforts. The new partnership is expected to build on the existing technology base of Adore Me, creating synergies across the brands and facilitating the integration of large language models.

In addition to improving customer-facing services, Victoria’s Secret plans to integrate AI technologies into its internal operations. This includes marketing, customer sentiment analysis, and supply chain optimization, according to the company.
