Informatica has formed a partnership with UnionBank of the Philippines. The collaboration involves UnionBank adopting Informatica’s Master Data Management (MDM) SaaS, transitioning from its current on-premises solution to a cloud-based system.
This initiative is intended to assist the bank in identifying individual customers and their interactions, enabling more personalized services and improving defenses against financial crimes such as money laundering and fraud.
UnionBank’s decision to move to cloud-based solutions comes after its acquisition of Citibank’s retail banking business in the Philippines, adding over 12 million customers.
