I.D. Systems, a provider of wireless solutions for tracking, securing and managing high-value enterprise assets, has received purchase orders from Toyota Engineering & Manufacturing North America (TEMA) to deploy its PowerFleet wireless Vehicle Management System (VMS) on fleets of material handling equipment at two Toyota plants in the U.S. One facility is upgrading a fleet of approximately 500 industrial trucks, originally equipped with an I.D. Systems VMS in 2002. The second site will be deploying a VMS for the first time.
TEMA is responsible for all of Toyota’s engineering, development and manufacturing activities in North America. TEMA coordinates 13 Toyota production facilities, including the two sites deploying the PowerFleet system.
