Toshiba Launches Windows 8 Device For Business Users

Toshiba has launched the company’s first Windows 8 device designed for business users, the Portege Z10t detachable Ultrabook. Prices start at $1,499.

The Portege Z10t is equipped with an 11.6-inch diagonal, full HD, IPS anti-glare touchscreen display, and a built-in digitizer for writing on-screen. The detachable keyboard includes a touchpad with Windows 8 gesture support, and is LED backlit and spill-resistant.

The Portege Z10t can be configured with Intel Core i5 or i7 processors, and a 128GB or 256GB SSD.

The Portege Z10t includes a full-size SD card slot, USB 3.0 and Micro HDMI port, and an audio combo jack. The keyboard dock features full-size HDMI, RGB, LAN and USB 2.0 port. The detachable tablet measures 0.49-inches thin and weighs 1.91 pounds. As Ultrabook, the device weighs 3.24 pounds.

The Portege Z10t is equipped with Windows 8 Pro, however it also supports 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows 7.
