Time Launches Digital Video Unit

Time has launched a new, centralized digital video unit, which will manage digital video production, development and strategy across Time brands. The unit will be managed by J.R. McCabe, who has been appointed to the new role of Senior Vice President, Video effective immediately. Mr. McCabe reports to Todd Larsen, Executive Vice President and Group President, News and Sports at Time, who is overseeing the new unit for the Company.

Mr. McCabe joins Time from Meredith Corporation, where he served as VP/Chief Video Officer. In his new role at Time, he will be responsible for growing the volume of digital video products across the company, developing quality video, and identifying new channels of distribution. The existing video teams will be consolidated under Mr. McCabe and will work closely with editorial teams at the brands and the sales force as they build the business.

Time, a division of Time Warner, is one of the largest branded media companies in the world. The company engages more than 138 million U.S. consumers in print, online and via mobile devices each month.
