Three Million Adobe Customers Affected In Massive Security Breach

adobeIn a massive security breach, attackers accessed Adobe customer IDs and passwords, as well as encrypted credit or debit card information for 2.9 million Adobe customers worldwide. The company’s says the source code for various Adobe products may also have been compromised in a set of attacks, in a related attack.

Information accessed during the breach included customer names, encrypted credit or debit card numbers, expiration dates, and information relating to customer orders.  

Adobe is offering U.S customers, whose credit or debit card information was involved, the option of enrolling in a one-year complimentary credit monitoring membership. The company recommends users change their Adobe passwords, as well as passwords on any website where they may have used the same login credentials.

Adobe is investigating illegal access to the ColdFusion source code, as well as source code access to other Adobe products.
