Sprint Confirms Softbank Acquisition Discussions

Sprint has confirmed that the company is currently engaged in discussions with Softbank regarding a “potential substantial investment.” Sprint said that such a transaction could involve a change of control of Sprint, but declined to give further details.

SoftBank Mobile, a Japanese telecom giant, has reportedly offered $12.5 billion for a stake in Sprint.
