Sony has announced a strategic minority investment in Raspberry Pi, aimed at providing a development platform for Sony’s edge AI devices to the global Raspberry Pi community.
As part of the agreement, Sony will introduce its AITRIOS platform to the Raspberry Pi user and developer community. The platform supports the development of solutions utilizing edge AI devices, further expanding Raspberry Pi’s capabilities.
This collaboration builds on the existing relationship between Sony and Raspberry Pi, which includes contract manufacturing and the supply of image sensors and other semiconductor products.
The financial details of the investment were not disclosed.
